Adejobi stated that once the e-CMR goes into effect, vehicle owners and users will no longer need to carry physical documents as all vehicle document information will be available digitally.
The Nigeria Police Force has announced that with the introduction of the digital Central Motor Registry Information System (e-CMR),its officers would no longer need to stop vehicle owners to check their papers.
The Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, made this known on Wednesday night in a post via his account on the X platform.
According to him, Police Officers would now be equipped with cutting-edge technology to verify documents in real time.
Adejobi added that once the e-CMR goes into effect, vehicle owners and users would no longer need to carry physical documents as all vehicle document information would be available digitally.
He added that if a vehicle which is registered with the NPF E-CMR gets stolen, the owner can easily flag it on his/her profile and all police officers nationwide on the field would be alerted in seconds on the development.
